The Green Economy Forum (GEF) 2023 is a one-day event hosted by the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) on November 2, 2023, at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi.

The forum aims to bring together key stakeholders from business, government, and non-governmental organizations in Europe and Vietnam to engage in meaningful discussions and advocate for sustainable practices, policies, and initiatives.

With the theme "Empowering Vietnam's Sustainable Landscape: European-Vietnamese Collaboration Fuels Green Initiatives", GEF 2023 will focus on the following key areas:

Climate change and energy transition: Discussions will focus on how Vietnam can achieve its net-zero emissions goals and transition to a clean energy future.

Circular economy and waste management: Participants will explore ways to reduce waste and pollution and create a more circular economy in Vietnam.

Sustainable finance and investment: The forum will discuss how to mobilize public and private finance to support Vietnam's green growth.

Green innovation and technology: Participants will share best practices and explore opportunities for collaboration on green innovation and technology.

GEF 2023 is expected to attract over 300 participants, including government officials, business leaders, academics, and experts from Vietnam and Europe. The forum will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and breakout sessions to facilitate in-depth discussions and networking opportunities.

The Green Economy Forum is a valuable platform for stakeholders from all sectors to come together and share their perspectives on Vietnam's sustainable development. The forum also provides an opportunity to identify and address key challenges and opportunities, and to develop concrete solutions for accelerating Vietnam's green transition.
