SUSTAINABLE GEN K52 – OFFICIALLY JOINING THE GENERATION OF SUSTAINABLE VALUE CREATORS!

On September 8, 2026, at B1-302 Hall, the Sustainable Finance Institute (SFI) – UEH warmly welcomed the newest members of the Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management program – Cohort K52 – for a morning filled with energy, meaningful connections, and inspiring messages for the four-year journey ahead.

The SUSTAINABLE GEN K52 | THE GENERATION OF SUSTAINABLE VALUE CREATORS Welcome Freshmen Day officially marked the beginning of a new chapter for K52 students.

A special opening performance by students from K51 and K52 set an energetic tone for the event, while also reflecting the strong connection across generations within the Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management community.

An energetic performance by K51 and K52 students majoring in Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management

But SUSTAINABLE GEN K52 was much more than a welcome ceremony.

Guidance and encouragement from UEH and SFI leaders

K52 students received valuable guidance and encouragement from the leadership of UEH and the Sustainable Finance Institute.

Dr. Dinh Cong Khai, Vice President of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), shared his words of encouragement in Welcome Freshmen Day

Assoc. Prof. Bui Thi Mai Hoai, Director of the Sustainable Finance Institute – UEH, also offered insights to K52 in Welcome Freshmen Day

Making the most of four years at university

From setting personal goals and building motivation to developing an effective study plan, understanding what employers expect from new graduates, strengthening professional competencies, and building a CV from the very first year, the program focused on one practical message: The knowledge, competencies, and personal qualities students develop throughout their four years at UEH should prepare them to confidently pursue the careers they aspire to.

Real-world career stories from students and alumni

Current students and alumni of the Master's program in Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management brought real-world professional experiences into the conversation, sharing their career journeys, lessons learned, and practical perspectives with K52.

Du Quoc Duy, Vo Minh Minh, and Nguyen Thi Minh Giang, current students and alumni of the Master's program, shared hands-on experiences from their professional journeys.

Connecting students with industry from day one

Representatives from partner companies spoke directly about the competencies, attitudes, skills, and preparation they expect from young graduates, helping K52 students gain an early understanding of the professional world and the opportunities ahead.

PhD Candidate Tran Van Quy, CEO of Trung Quy Textile and Garment Company, shared his perspective on “What Employers Expect from New Graduates.”

Ms. Bui Thi Kim Hien, Human Resources Manager at Yusen Logistics, guided K52 students on how to begin building and strengthening their CVs from the very first year of university.

Interactive games on ESG, the SDGs, climate issues, and the field of study helped K52 students engage with sustainability in a fun, accessible, and energetic way.

On the very first day of their journey at SFI, K52 students received academic recognition awards, educational support, and “Sustainable Pioneer” gifts - meaningful encouragement in recognition of their efforts and the path they have chosen.

Behind these activities was the generous support of our partner companies, current Master’s students, and alumni, whose contributions of resources, professional experience, and opportunities help bring students closer to real-world practice throughout their learning journey.

Our sincere appreciation to our partner companies for their continued support and companionship.

And for K52, perhaps the most important message from the Sustainable Finance Institute – UEH at the Welcome Program was:

Start preparing for your future from your very first year. Four years at university will pass quickly. The earlier you understand what you want to achieve and what you need to develop, the more time you will have to learn, gain experience, explore new opportunities, challenge yourself, and adjust your direction along the way.

The Sustainable Finance Institute – UEH believes that over the next four years, K52 students will grow not only in knowledge and professional capabilities, but also into kind, healthy, responsible young people who are ready to create meaningful and sustainable value for the future.

Welcome, K52, to the Sustainable Finance Institute – UEH community.

The journey of SUSTAINABLE GEN K52 has officially begun.

There is so much ahead to learn, experience, explore, challenge yourselves — and create value together.
