On the morning of January 15, 2026, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) - Sustainable Finance Institute (SFI) and Koblenz University of Applied Sciences (Germany) - Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). The event marks an important milestone in the development of a bachelor’s double degree program and an annual student exchange scheme, scheduled to commence from the 2026 admission.

Strengthening International Academic Cooperation

Following in-depth academic discussions and agreement on an implementation roadmap, the two institutions reached consensus on developing a bachelor’s double degree program between the Bachelor of Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management at UEH Sustainable Finance Institute and the Bachelor of Arts in Sustainable Transformation Management at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. The agreement concretizes academic collaboration and aligns training programs with international standards as early as the 2026 enrollment plan.

New Learning Opportunities for UEH Students from 2026

Starting in 2026, alongside the Vietnamese-taught Bachelor of Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management, UEH Sustainable Finance Institute will launch a fully English-taught version of the same program. This pathway will be integrated with a double-degree transfer track at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, enabling students to obtain degrees from both UEH and its German partner. The two institutions agreed on a flexible 2+1+1 training model. Notably, UEH students undertaking the study phase in Germany will be exempted from tuition fees in accordance with the cooperation agreement. Upon fulfilling all program requirements, graduates will be awarded a Bachelor of Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management degree from UEH and a Bachelor of Sustainable Transformation Management degree from Koblenz University of Applied Sciences.

In his remarks at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Michael Langenbahn highly appreciated the proactive efforts of UEH’s Sustainable Finance Institute in concretizing cooperation contents and integrating the agreement into the 2026 enrollment plan.

On behalf of UEH Sustainable Finance Institute, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thi Mai Hoai expressed sincere appreciation to the Koblenz University delegation for arranging the visit and participating in the MoA signing. She emphasized the comprehensive development opportunities for students enrolled in the Corporate Sustainability and Environmental Management program - an area in which UEH is a pioneer in Vietnam - while also gaining exposure to an advanced academic environment in Germany through a well-structured and suitable study pathway.
